🚚 Tour of Kõrvemaa Landscape Reserve and Safari Truck Ride

Buses will take you to the Kõrvemaa Hiking Center, where you’ll board large ZIL 131 safari trucks and begin a scenic tour through the landscape reserve. This magnificent area was once home to many people, but following the arrival of Soviet rule, it became uninhabited. You’ll hear about the history of Kõrvemaa, from the Ice Age to the present day and the establishment of the nature reserve.

During the ride, you’ll visit various sites, climb a viewing tower, and take in the eskers, bogs, and lakes. At the end of the tour, the buses will bring you back to Nelijärve.

Cost: 40€
Up to 90 persons
Time: 11:00 - 13:30

🚣 Rafting Trip on the Valgejõgi River

Buses will pick up participants from the parking lot of Nelijärve Holiday Center and drive to a pre-arranged location by the Valgejõgi River. Upon arrival, a water safety briefing will be held, along with instructions on using the rafts, paddles, safety equipment, and proper behavior in the boat.

The duration of your river section is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your own pace. The Valgejõgi River is 98.8 km long, originating from the western edge of the Pandivere Upland near the village of Ahula and flowing into Ihasalu Bay on Estonia’s northern coast. In its upper course, the river winds through the bogs of Kõrvemaa — and it’s this section near the Kakerdaja Bog that we will be exploring.

For the trip, you’ll be using large and stable rafting or inflatable boats.
Note: Capsizing is virtually impossible with these boats (although with a group effort, determined participants might just manage it!), and falling out of the boat is extremely unlikely. At the end of the trip, we’ll board the buses again and return to Nelijärve Holiday Center.

Cost: 40€
Up to 200 persons
Time: 15:00 - 18:00

🥾 ZIL Truck Safari and Hike to Kakerdaja Bog

We will travel along the most exciting roads, through Southern Kõrvemaa, to the far side of Kakerdaja Bog — an area accessible only by these large off-road trucks. Kakerdaja is one of the most beautiful bogs in Kõrvemaa! Discover this unique two-level bog landscape, where nature unfolds across two distinct layers. It’s a nature experience unlike any other.

In the heart of the bog lies the quiet Kakerdaja Lake, where those who wish can take a swim at their own risk. Near the lake spreads the mysterious Hiiesaare bog island — a place where nature and folklore meet. In spring and autumn, thousands of waterbirds can be observed here. A 4 km boardwalk trail leads through the core of the bog. At the end of the hike, the trucks will be waiting for you on the other side, and we’ll drive back to Nelijärve.

Cost: 35€
Up to 90 persons
Time: 15:30 - 17:30
